Tara is executive director of NC NARAL and currently serves on the Steering Committee of NC Women Matter and the Community Advisory Board for the North Carolina State University's Women's Center/Women and Gender Studies Program. She recently served on the Advisory Committee for the Institute of Women's Research Policy's most recent report, The Status of Women in the South. She holds a Masters of Public Health Degree as well as an MS in Extension Education.
